KALO's Kale-Beet Smoothie

"Kale and beet smoothie developed over 3 years to perfection! Try to use all organic items if possible. If you don't drink it immediately, it will thicken; I then just use a spoon and eat it for lunch. The flavor changes and becomes sweeter."

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup chopped kale
  • 4 fluid ounces unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 1/4 cup frozen blueberries, or more to taste
  • 1/2 red beet
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon milk thistle seed powder, optional
  • 1 teaspoon green tea powder (matcha)
  • water as needed

Instructions :

Prep : 5M Cook : 2M Ready in : 5M
  • Combine kale, cranberry juice, blueberries, beet, flax seeds, chia seeds, milk thistle seed powder, and green tea powder in a high speed blender (such as NutriBullet(R)). Add water to reach the blender's fill line. Blend until smooth.

Notes :

  • Collard greens can be used in place of kale.
  • You can add 2 tablespoons of protein powder if your body likes it.
