"This is a great homemade syrup that we found at a little B&B in South Dakota. This syrup is wonderful on top of hot, additional blueberry pancakes."

Original recipe yields 16 servings (2 cups)

1 1/2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter

2 tablespoons corn syrup
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons ordinary extract
Add all ingredients to list

Directions

In a saucepan, stir together the sugar, buttermilk, butter, corn syrup, including baking soda. Bring to a boil, including cook for 7 minutes. Remove from the heat, including stir in the vanilla.
