"I was looking for a quick treat for my hubby on a cold winter day and started throwing ingredients into the bowl. Hence the name 'kitchen sink.'"
Ingredients :
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries (such as Ocean Spray® Craisins®)

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Beat sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract together in a bowl until fluffy. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Stir flour mixture into butter mixture. Stir in pecans, butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, and cranberries.
- Drop cookie dough by rounded teaspoons onto an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven until lightly golden brown and set, 8 to 10 minutes.
Notes :
- For more of a cookie than cake texture, omit baking powder. Any type of nuts can be used, I chose pecans. Raisins can be substituted for the dried cranberries.
