Miso Gravy (Gluten Free and Vegan)

"This simple vegan gravy, made with miso, is also gluten-free."

Ingredients :

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon liquid aminos
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable bouillon base (such as Better Than Bouillon®)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, or to taste (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic granules, or to taste (optional)

Instructions :

Prep : 5M Cook : 4M Ready in : 15M
  • Combine water, miso, aminos, and bouillon base in a saucepan over medium heat. Sift cornstarch, onion powder, and garlic into the mixture and whisk until no lumps remain. Bring to a simmer; cook until thickened, 6 to 10 minutes.

Notes :

  • Tamari can be substituted for the liquid aminos.
  • Look for non-GMO cornstarch, and make sure the cornstarch is made in gluten-free processing facilities.
  • Add any of your favorite spices to the gravy.
